FAQ

Coffee beans

Can I buy whole beans or ground coffee?

Both. Choose "Whole Bean" or a grind for your brewer: filter, espresso, cold brew, moka pot or French press.

Which coffee should I choose?

For milk drinks, try Calming Blend or Brazil Cerrado. For a fruity, bright cup, try Lively Blend or Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. For an everyday all-rounder, try Everyday Blend or Midlife Blend.

What sizes are available?

Sizes depend on the coffee. Blends and some single origins come in 200g, 500g and 1kg; most of our newer single origins come in 100g, 200g and 500g. The 500g and 1kg sizes come in a larger logo-printed bag.

How fresh is the coffee?

We roast in-house. Coffee is usually dispatched within 1–3 business days. If a coffee needs to be roasted for your order, it may take a little longer.

How should I store my beans?

Keep them in the bag, sealed, away from heat, light and moisture. Avoid the fridge. Grind just before brewing for the best flavour.

Do you sell wholesale to cafés?

Yes. We offer wholesale pricing for cafés and hotels, with a minimum order of 3 kg. See our wholesale coffee page or message us on LINE for details.

ORIGAMI

Is your ORIGAMI genuine?

Yes. MOTMOT COFFEE is the official ORIGAMI distributor in Thailand, and all ORIGAMI products we sell are genuine ORIGAMI from Japan.

What is the difference between the porcelain and Air drippers?

The porcelain ORIGAMI Dripper is the classic version in many colours. It needs a proper preheat with hot water, but once warm it holds heat very well and keeps the brewing temperature steady. The Dripper Air is made of AS resin: lightweight, impact-resistant and easy to travel with. Resin conducts little heat, so it draws very little heat from the water and needs only a quick rinse. ORIGAMI notes that porcelain tends to bring out sweetness and body, while resin gives a lighter, cleaner cup.

Which filters fit the ORIGAMI Dripper?

Both cone filters and wave (flat-bottom) filters fit. Cone filters give a faster, cleaner cup; wave filters give a rounder, more even extraction.
